Giyman is an old-fashioned term used to describe glass that was imported overseas in the early Edo period. This "Giyman" series uses special glazing techniques to create a shiny appearance similar to that of glassware. The daisy-shaped carving of this kobachi (small bowl) is elegant and tasteful.
